38th Senatorial District Woman of the Year: Carol Bonomo
By Senator Mark Wyland (R-Carlsbad)
I'm pleased to announce Carol Bonomo as 38th Senatorial District Woman of the Year for 2008. Earlier this month, Carol was honored at the annual Woman of the Year ceremony that celebrates extraordinary women up-and-down California who make a difference in their communities.
As Legislative Affairs Director in the President's Office at California State University, San Marcos, she has brought students to Sacramento for a "hands on" look at the legislative process and the importance of citizen involvement. She also co-authored editorials with elected student officials on improving transportation in the region. In her personal life, Carol is an award winning author whose published works include The Abbey Up the Hill and Humble Pie, amongst many others.
Carol is an accomplished role model in the fields of literature, religion and higher education and I look forward to her contributions to our community for years to come.
Senator Mark Wyland represents the people of the 38th Senate District, which includes cities in north San Diego County and the south Orange County cities of San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano.
