photoThere's Still Time to Register for "Paws in the Park"

The Escondido Humane Society’s fundraiser,"Paws in the Park," is only days away, on March 28, but there is still plenty of time for people to register and begin their fundraising efforts for the fun, family-friendly dog walk. Every walker will make a difference, and every dollar raised will help brighten the lives of animals at the Escondido Humane Society who are awaiting a home.

Walkers can register online at www.firstgiving.com/ehs, or on the day of the event by downloading a pledge form at www.escondidohumanesociety.org and bringing it to the walk. Registration is free, and all walkers will receive prizes based on dollars raised, starting at $25. There will be entertainment, games for people and pets, a raffle, Paw vendor expo, and contests such as a "K-9's Got Talent" showcase and wet T-shirt contest (don't worry, it's for the dogs).
Special guests include "Buns of Steel" series star, Tamilee Webb, who will lead people and pets through a routine to get everyone pumped up. Richard Lederer will be on hand with his newest books. Heather Myers of San Diego 6 The CW will serve as mistress of ceremonies, and Gary Trice, San Diego's "Classic Rocking DJ," will provide music.
