Pet of the Week March 11th, 2010

Seeley is a 1-year-old neutered male domestic longhair mix, ID # 42554. When Seeley came to the Escondido Humane Society as a stray in October, his coat was matted and it was apparent that he hadn’t been taken care of. But after a lot of loving care from staff and volunteers, he is ready for a loving home. All of the volunteers at the shelter adore Seeley because of his loving and friendly nature. The first thing he does when he meets people is crawl into their laps, and he wants nothing more than to be close to you. The volunteers can’t say enough about how sweet and affectionate he is, and they say his new family will be lucky to have him. Seeley is available for adoption at the Escondido Humane Society, 3450 E. Valley Parkway. His $110 adoption fee includes neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations and wellness exam. Animal Rescue

Beautiful Wilma is very playful and friendly. She is a domestic shorthair who is all black, and is spayed. Although we think she is about 3 or 4 years old, she plays like a kitten and loves to be entertained. Wilma will chase little balls, play with toys, and loves to chase the laser light on the floor. Wilma adores attention and loves to be petted and brushed. She has the shiniest, silky black fur, which she grooms regularly. She is completely litter box trained and is not at all messy. Wilma would probably do best as the only cat in the household.

Yes, they are cutie pies.

And they’re so new they don’t yet have names. We’ll leave that to you.

Naming a kitten is a special act, best left to the new kitten’s family of humans.

Check them out! At the Escondido Humane Society
